Current TV’s Jennifer Granholm: Hey Mitt, the door’s always open!
On Fox News, Neil Cavuto asked Mitt Romney about Granholm’s accusation that Romney is taking credit for the auto bailout where exactly zero credit is due. Granholm tweeted that Mittens is welcome to come answer her in person. She’s encouraging fans to retweet her invitation for Romney to come on The War Room and explain exactly how telling Detroit to go bankrupt constitutes “a lot of credit” for the success of the bailout.

How a Grassroots Rebellion Won the Nation’s Biggest Climate Victory

Activists have imposed a de facto moratorium on new coal—and beat the Obama EPA to the punch.

Back in high school I did some dumb things and if anybody was hurt by that or offended by that I apologize,” he told reporters. “I certainly don’t believe that I thought the fellow was homosexual. That was the furthest thing from our minds back in the 1960s.

Mitt Romney, apologizing for leading his prep school classmates in an assault on a student they thought was gay. Did we say “apologizing”? Maybe that’s not the right word. (via motherjones)

Yet, nobody can produce examples of Romney’s good deeds from that time? When he actually helped someone? Hmmm….

My religion compels me to be against discrimination of every kind.

President Obama’s support for marriage equality comes at a time when a majority of Americans now support the freedom to marry.

Understated in the Postal Service’s financial report of today is one simple fact: Ninety-four percent of the Postal Service’s losses this year are a direct result of an onerous payment, unprecedented in either government agencies or private corporations, to pre-fund 75 years of future retiree health benefits in a 10-year period.

The bipartisan postal reform bill passed by the Senate largely corrects this inequity and includes other common-sense reforms to ensure that the Postal Service has the money it needs without drastically cutting services, and the flexibility it requires in the future to generate additional new revenue.

It is time for the House to pass this important bill to make sure that the Postal Service succeeds in the 21st century.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) issued the following statement today after the U.S. Postal Service reported quarterly losses

Alright Romney’s on at 1:20 PST for his response

I expect:

  • “traditional marriage”
  • “will of the people”
  • “divisive politics” / “dividing the nation”
  • “disrespecting states rights”
  • “Jobs” / “economy”
  • “politicizing”
  • “religious freedom” / something about priests being forced to marry people

I’d make a bingo card but he’s on in 4 minutes…

Really? Really really?
For some much-needed realkeeping on Obama and gay marriage, go here and here, not to Fox.

Because God said so.

Because God said so.

A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.

I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men marrying women are entitled to the same exact rights. All the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly I don’t see much of a distinction beyond that.

Joe Biden becomes the highest-ranking official to endorse same-sex marriage. (viathink-progress)

David Axelrod on TwitterWhat VP said-that all married couples should have exactly the same legal rights-is precisely POTUS’s position.

^ Check out what Obama’s said on this. It’s clearly not the same position.
